Transportation options to and from Pittsburgh International Airport: Transportation Options

Pittsburgh has one of the most "customer-friendly" airports in the United States with Pittsburgh International Airport. Located 20 miles west of the city on the William Penn Parkway, travelers can select various transportation to the downtown and the beautifully renovated and expanded David L. Lawrence Convention Center and Westin Convention Center Hotel.

Pittsburgh International Airport is an eastern hub for U.S. Airways, and is also serviced by Southwest, American, United, Delta, JetBlue, Northwest, Airtran, and Continental Airlines.

Pittsburgh has other options for travel. The City is served by two (2) daily trains by Amtrak, with the station (Penn Station) located downtown within sight of the Convention Center. The Capitol Limited train stops in Pittsburgh on its trips from Chicago to Washington, D.C., with connections to the western trains and east coast service.

The Pennsylvanian train provides service from Pittsburgh to Harrisburg and Philadelphia; and on to New York City.

Schedules and service are available at www.amtrak.com.

New to the Pittsburgh transportation market is Megabus, a daily express bus service to the American Midwest. Service to Pittsburgh is twice daily, stopping almost to the Convention Center's front door.

Service extends through Cleveland and Toledo to Chicago, with further connections to St. Louis and Kansas City. Check their web site for schedules and pricing at www.megabus.com .
