It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 17th Annual CODI Conference, Focus on the Future, in Salt Lake City, Utah. As we meet once again in this beautiful city nestled beneath the Wasatch Mountains we will enjoy a program packed with presentations centered on our technology, software, hardware, and SirsiDynix future and all it has to offer us.
We can expect to see both our Dynix side of the support family and also the Sirsi side as we continue to learn from each other and grow together. There are many new bridge products now available that cross platforms and work well with both traditionally Dynix and Sirsi family products; like Rooms, Director's Dashboard, URSA, and more. Please be sure to schedule time to meet with your LRM and sales person and visit their booth.
This year we are pleased to have as our keynote speaker Robert X. Cringley, author and NPR columnist. Mr. Cringley wrote Notes From the Field for InfoWorld for eight years and most recently is the host for the PBS miniseries "Electric Money". He has spent 20 years in the PC business and to quote him, "Twenty years in and around the PC business have earned me wisdom, if not wealth."
This is the best time to meet with your peers and discuss topics you may have only touched upon on the list or in a forum. The purpose of the conference is to gather together CODI members to totally devote themselves to learning and discussion of the software that we use every day - and to have a little fun. So take the Star Walk; attend programs; visit the exhibitors (who so generously sponsor events); meet with your peers; and make this CODI conference the best ever.
