You Are Invited!!

2004 CODI Conference, Portland, OR, November 3-5, 2004 at the Hilton Hotel

On behalf of the CODI users group you are invited to:

COME TOGETHER

at the Fifteenth Annual CODI Conference

While this can be considered the 15th consecutive CODI conference, the exciting thing is that it is also the following: the first "unified" CODI conference, the 3rd CODI/HUG joint conference and the 11th consecutive HUG meeting (HUGM).

To me our past is significant. This year CODI celebrates its 20th anniversary. HUG would have been 11 years old. Dynix will be 21. At this conference, I hope we can appreciate the rich knowledge base that we have. There are few integrated library system software vendors that can boast such a rich history. We will be taking the opportunity to celebrate these milestones at a special 20th anniversary celebration on Thursday night. This will be in addition to the traditional Dynix reception on Wednesday night.

The previous joint conferences proved that Dynix users and Horizon users can benefit by attending a conference together. We learn from each other and of course, we all learn from the Dynix staff at the conference. This year we have the added benefit of having just one users group to conduct the business of its members. This will be the first year when we all "come together" as a unified group.

Planning for the conference has already started. There are even some programs lined up. I'm sure that this will once again be a great conference. In fact, it will probably be the best one you attend all year. So, go ahead and mark the conference in your calendar, make room in your budget and reserve your hotel rooms now. And don't forget to check out the Portland Visitor's Bureau site to find some fun activities too.
